Handles
Porcelain (industrial forms), silver, 2007 / unique objects, limited edition
Workers of porcelain factories every day reject even umpteen cast elements because of minimal faults or surplus of pieces. Usually the mass is converted again. The interesting alternative is using these objects (in early stage of production) to produce jewellery, which needs only a minimal treatment.
It is an offer for avant-garde, go-ahead women with sense of humour, who smile as they are having their coffee served in cup with similar handle (Polish: uszko; lit. ear) during a meeting in restaurant or visiting mother-in-law. ‘Uszka na uszy!’ (‘Ears on ears!’ in the meaning of ‘Handles’ - the jewellery - on ears)!
